Specialist, Risk Management Professional

The successful candidate will be a key member of our APAC Audit Services Team, responsible for coordinating and executing audit engagements with a primary focus on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Financial Crime (Fin Crime). This includes planning and developing the audit scope, maintaining project budgets and timeframes to meet audit requirements, preparing reports, and ensuring department standards are properly met.
The role is a direct report to the Head of Audit Services, APAC, and is at a VP level. The Specialist, Audit Services, APAC provides input to improve operational efficiency and/or to enhance the design or operating effectiveness of the internal control environment. This involves providing technical expertise, focusing on AML and Fin Crime, and may perform supervisor-related work including training new employees or those with lesser experience, reviewing work of others, and providing regular feedback and coaching to employees.
The role is an integral part of the APAC Audit Services team, responsible for interacting with local, regional, and global Senior and Executive management, leveraging technical expertise to evaluate risk areas and ensuring that resources are properly aligned to audit these areas.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and collaborate with the global AML and Fin Crime audit team on the identification of risks and execution of internal audits in line with the internal audit plan.
- Contribute to the evolution of the AML and Fin Crime internal audit strategy, including risk assessment and coverage strategy.
- Provide strategic thinking, thought leadership, and guidance on identifying key risks and assessing the design and operating effectiveness of the controls supporting AML and Fin Crime activities to the audit team.
- Plan, oversee, and direct the AML and Fin Crime audit activities in APAC to achieve the goals of the AML and Fin Crime audit strategy.
- Establish strong working relationships and communications with key stakeholders in APAC.
