Assurance and Risk Management Specialist
This role supports the implementation of an effective assurance program across the organization, developing frameworks for risk management, policies, and processes.
The Assurance and Risk Management Specialist leads initiatives to improve assurance and risk activities, collaborating with key corporate functions and groups.
This position contributes to strengthening assurance capability across portfolios and supports the oversight of whole-of-organization assurance and risk planning systems.
The Assurance and Risk Management Specialist forms a part of the Strategy and Governance Branch within the Corporate Services Group.
The group works to build a safe, high-performing organization where employees are supported to perform at their best.
This role requires strong operational expertise in a technical environment, with the ability to coordinate and maintain momentum across key initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing risk management frameworks and policies;
- Liaising with corporate functions and groups to improve assurance and risk activities;
- Oversight of assurance and risk planning systems;
- Contributing to the development of the organization's strategic plan.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- A proven track record in risk management and assurance;
- Experience working in a technical environment.
