Business Risk Compliance Specialist

About the Role:

  • We are seeking a Business Risk Compliance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing access to and from the store, providing administrative support for risk prevention and compliance tasks, and monitoring CCTV.
  • As a Business Risk Compliance Specialist, you will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that health, safety, and security standards are met across all departments.
  • Other responsibilities include assisting in ensuring the store is compliant with all local rules, guidelines, and legislative requirements, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop a risk & compliance culture.
  • This role requires a valid Security license and First Aid & CPR certifications, or the willingness and ability to obtain them.
  • Strong customer focus, passion for creating a safe and secure working environment, and strong verbal communication skills are also essential for this role.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, handle ad hoc requests, and experience with regular use of computers, IT systems, completing administrative and reporting tasks are required.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement is necessary for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage access to and from the store, including visitor, contractor, and coworker management.
  • Provide administrative support for risk prevention and compliance tasks, including audits, incident reporting, database management, and filing.
  • Monitor CCTV and conduct investigations as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop a risk & compliance culture.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with local rules, guidelines, and legislative requirements.
  • Develop leadership and conscious approach in identifying and implementing systems to detect, analyse, and reduce business loss, financial impact, prevent incidents and accidents in the store.
  • Support the development of a proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
