About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Sustainability Consultant to join our Brisbane team. As a key member of our ANZ Sustainability practice, you will provide technical advice to clients and internal stakeholders on ESG and sustainability matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-based advice on sustainability and ESG issues to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with current and future industry and economy-wide issues related to net zero emissions, climate change, and their impacts on clients' businesses.
  • Conduct technical sustainability investigations and design discipline coordination to optimize design and generate efficiencies.
  • Develop bespoke solutions to help clients achieve low-carbon, net zero carbon, and/or carbon neutral outcomes for their projects and procurement supply chain.
  • Contribute to delivering on our ScopeXTM promise to reduce clients' carbon emissions by at least 50% as part of our Sustainable Legacies ESG strategy.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience working for an Engineering Consultancy, Main Contractor, or Government Department providing technically sound, sustainable solutions on construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, building and planning codes, notable sustainability policies and standards, and environmental rating and assessment systems.
  • Experience using sustainability/wellness rating tools (ISCA, GBCA, IWBI, NABERS, LEED) and ideally hold accredited status with some or all of these organizations.
  • Demonstrate a passion for driving optimum design and engineering outcomes.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Architecture, Sustainability, Climate Change, or Environmental Science/Engineering (or similar).
  • Ability to obtain defence clearance (desirable).
