Job Description

The successful applicant will be an in-field working supervisor responsible for managing and controlling a construction unit, as well as maintenance programs. This role is based at Council's Inverell Works Centre.

Essential Criteria

Applicants should address the following Selection Criteria:


  • Qualifications
    • NSSchool Certificate/ Record of School Achievement or equivalent;
    • Successful completion of an approved course for supervisors OR Suitable experience;
    • NSSW Class C Drivers Licence or equivalent;
    • SafeWork NSW Traffic Control Work Card (TCP); and
    • SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction card ('White Card');
  • Skills And Experience
    • Knowledge of roadwork techniques and quality control requirements; and
    • Knowledge of structural practices

Desirable Criteria

Applicants with the following qualifications are highly regarded:


  • First Aid Certificate;
  • SafeWork NSW Traffic Control Work Card (IMP); and
  • Safe Work near Overhead Powerlines Certificate.

Employment will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Local Government Award. The classification for this position will be up to Administrative/ Technical/ Trades Band 2, Level 2, Grade 10. Salary will be based on qualifications and experience, ranging from $1,349.60 to $1,453.46 gross per week.
