Desktop Motor Claims Assessor

We're seeking a skilled Desktop Motor Claims Assessor to join our high-performing team at Youi Insurance. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in assessing third-party motor claims via desktop to determine fair and reasonable costs.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect claims files and images to assess damage, determine loss extent, and obtain online quotations to authorise claim settlements within guidelines.
- Prepare assessments following organisational objectives, business guidelines, and the Code of Practice.
- Authorise costs and replacements based on the best value quotations and supervise the repair work quality.
- Handle disputed recoveries and settlements through expert review.
- Communicate outcomes and recommendations to department staff.
- Support colleagues to improve efficiencies and positively influence business and customer outcomes.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A trade qualification in Panel Beating, Spray Painting, or Light Vehicle Mechanical.
- Experience in the motor trade/industry.
- Adept at using computers and learning new systems or applications.
- Knowledge of conflict resolution processes.
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- A team player with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and resolution skills.
