About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to guide and deliver all HR-related activities associated with a major program phaseout. This role will design, implement, and lead people-focused transition strategies to ensure the workforce transition is achieved smoothly, effectively, and in line with business objectives.

The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor who can quickly earn respect and collaborate with leaders, employees, and stakeholders across the organization. With strong project management expertise and a people-first mindset, you will deliver measurable outcomes throughout all phases of this critical workforce transition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and execution of workforce change initiatives to achieve program phase-out targets.
  • Provide strategic advice, coaching, and support to business leaders on transition and workforce matters.
  • Partner with leaders to plan and manage resources, ensuring workforce needs align with demand forecasts.
  • Coordinate support initiatives across various sites where transition impacts are taking place, which will require travel to those sites.
  • Monitor, report, and evaluate transition progress to ensure objectives, timeframes, and budgets are met.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, national legislation, and industry standards.
  • Actively model and promote values and a strong safety culture.
Additional Accountabilities:
  • Analyse HR metrics to measure the effectiveness of transition strategies and recommend improvements.
  • Prepare regular HR reports and updates for leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Support functional managers in meeting customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
About You:

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Essential Experience & Knowledge:
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in a HR generalist or equivalent role.
  • Proven experience leading teams through complex change programs, including workforce ramp-ups and ramp-downs.
  • Strong knowledge of HR legislation, ER/IR frameworks, compensation & benefits, and HR systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement HR policies and supporting tools.
  • Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
  • People leadership experience with a track record of achieving strategic goals.
  • Ability to quickly build trust with senior stakeholders internally and externally.
Desirable:
  • Cross-industry HR experience.
  • Change Management and/or Project/Program Management certification.
  • Postgraduate qualification in HR, Business, or a related discipline.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology, Law, or a related field (required).
