Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Aboriginal Health Services and other healthcare professionals to deliver culturally respectful care.
  • Promote the principles of early childhood development and best practices in paediatric speech therapy.
  • Utilise service prioritisation and eligibility tools to meet clinical service demands based on individual needs.
  • Support clients, families, and caregivers across their healthcare journey by providing thorough assessments, timely referrals, and coordinated care.
  • Ensure effective intake, prioritisation, and service delivery in accordance with the health boards framework, with consideration of socio-economic factors.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology.
  • Current SPA registration.
  • Experience working with paediatric clients and understanding of NDIS frameworks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Aboriginal health professionals and community services.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills to manage intake, referrals, and follow-up care.
  • Australian working rights (working holiday visa's accepted).
  • WWCC check for South Australia.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check.
  • Recent National Police Certificate.
  • Recent influenza vaccination.
  • Immunization proof for COVID 19.
