About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Leading Hand to join our teams and work across various projects, including upgrading and upsizing of water and wastewater infrastructure across the southern Sydney region.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee the installation of formwork for civil projects, including pipelines, drainage, water, sewer, and stormwater systems, as well as pump stations and pipe chambers.
  2. Coordinate and supervise basic concreting and steel fixing activities.
  3. Ensure quality and safety standards are maintained among teams.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working on water infrastructure projects.
  • Proven track record of leading crews and managing teams.
  • Experience with heavy machinery, including excavators and skid steers.
  • Knowledge of panel formwork, in situ, and precast systems.
  • Ability to interpret plans and oversee concreting activities, including pouring and screeding.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in emergency situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders, including water industry professionals and the general public.
Preferred Qualifications
  • White Card certification.
  • Trade certification in Civil Construction, Concreting, or Formwork.
  • MR/HR Licence.
  • Confined space training.
  • Working at heights certification.
