We are currently seeking a diligent Support Team Member to join our operational team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality support services to our families, ensuring that our centre remains clean and well-maintained.

This is a rare opportunity for an entry-level or experienced Support Team Member to work onsite with our early childhood education and care team at our established childcare centre in Bray Park.

About the Role

- Cleaning floors using manual or mechanical cleaning equipment (mops, vacuum cleaners, floor cleaners)

- Emptying rubbish and recycling bins, ensuring bin liners are replaced and bins are kept clean and free from smell.

- Laundry washing and folding.

- Dusting and tidying of all assigned areas, rooms and furniture.

- Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and kitchens.

- Washing windows, walls, mirrors and glass surfaces and ensure they are streak free.

- Ensuring bathrooms are stocked with all necessary items including soaps, toilet paper, hand towels, etc.

- Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and materials
- Ensuring that chemicals and cleaning products are handled and stored safely.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a cleaner in an educational (school or early childhood) or commercial setting
  • Current blue card or willingness to obtain
  • Appropriate knowledge of cleaning products, safe handling, storage and disposal of chemicals, or willingness to learn
  • Ability to follow directions, policies and procedures
  • Ability to work autonomously and have a strong Work Health and Safety focus
  • A flexible approach and attitude with excellent communication skills
