AWS Data Center Operations Leader

We are seeking a seasoned leader to join our Data Center Operations team as a Cluster Operations Leader. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and secure installation, operation, and maintenance of data center mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
You will lead a team of technical experts and manage the performance of key vendors, ensuring that our data centers operate at the highest standards of safety, security, and availability.
This is a leadership role that requires strong technical expertise, operational agility, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. If you have a proven track record of managing complex operations and leading high-performing teams, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Oversight of teams accountable for safe and secure installation, operation, and maintenance of data center mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
- Leadership and management of data center cluster operations management teams.
- Performance management of key vendors in line with management goals.
- Execution of infrastructure operations support component of new data center launches and existing data center expansions.
- Proposing and complying with agreed operational performance goals relating to safety, security, availability, capacity, people, and cost.
- Supporting the physical security safeguarding of people, assets, and customer data in data centers.
- Management of operations budgeting and capital expenditures in line with management targets.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of operational processes, procedures, methods, and tools.

Requirements- 5+ years of experience leading technical teams and people managers in critical operations environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage performance, hire and develop leaders, and favorably impact team culture.
- 3+ years of experience launching new sites or expanding existing operations.
- Knowledge of information technology infrastructure domains such as compute server platforms, storage server platforms, server components, network devices, and IT service delivery.
- Experience in new data center deployments or expansion of existing data centers.
- Experience in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to include long-form business documents.
