Job Overview

The Assistant Director, Governance and Reporting plays a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives and delivering key outcomes for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Management: Lead a small team in planning, coordinating, and executing critical projects.
  • Governance Support: Manage secretariat services to advisory councils and other key groups.
  • Corporate Services: Oversee ministerial briefings, coordinate parliamentary services, prepare corporate documents, and manage business planning processes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with the Department, Minister's Office, and relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Communication and Reporting: Prepare and disseminate critical information, including Question Time Briefs and Senate Estimates briefing papers.
Additional Duties
  • Procurement and Advice: Provide expert procurement support and advice to the team.
  • Information Management: Respond to Freedom of Information requests and maintain accurate records.

This role requires strong governance, leadership, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

About the Team

The team is responsible for ensuring that the organization meets its reporting requirements, including preparing Portfolio Budget Statements, Corporate Plans, and Annual Reports.
