
Therapeutic Leader for Vulnerable Populations

We are seeking a skilled leader to join our team and play a pivotal role in making a meaningful difference in the lives of children, young people and families.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced practitioner to lead a team of Residential Care Practitioners and Youth Workers, coordinating the day-to-day operations of our residential care service for young people living in out of home care.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of Residential Care Practitioners and Youth Workers, overseeing the delivery of high-quality therapeutic services.
- Provide mentoring, coaching and supervision to teams in alignment with the CARE model for practice.
- Ensure our service is working in accordance with the CARE model, taking a therapeutic centred approach to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, young people and families.
Requirements:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Social Work, Psychology or Social Science).
- Experience incorporating the six CARE Principals when supporting Children and Young People, or reflection on how you would incorporate these into your team's practice.
- Demonstrated experience leading a team that works with children and youth within a therapeutic care environment who have suffered abuse or neglect and are on statutory child protection or juvenile justice orders.
- A Current Blue Card (Working with Children).
- A QLD Driver's Licence.
- First Aid and CPR Qualifications.
- Must be willing to undergo a personal history check under the provision of the Child Protection Act 1999 in relation to Licensing of Care Services (LCS2 screening check).
- Willingness to be part of a regular OnCall Roster.
- Ability to build strong relationships with young people.
