Fire Protection Engineer Role

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute projects ranging in size and complexity, focusing on fire protection systems for various sectors including healthcare, sports, aviation, labs, commercial, industrial, and precinct-level infrastructure.
  • Participate in design development, application, evaluation, recommendation, and specification of engineered systems or products for building and infrastructure fire systems.
  • Lead project teams through the life cycle, supporting collaboration with other disciplines and consultants, coordinating site service and electrical requirements, and performing field reviews.
  • Maintain thorough understanding of regulatory codes, standards, and guidelines related to Fire Protection Services Design (e.g., BCA, Australian Standards).
  • Drive continuous learning and improvement within the team; mentor and coach team members to optimize their skills and expertise.
  • Support senior colleagues to plan projects, optimize resources, manage timelines, and allocate resources effectively.

  • Proven experience in designing and executing fire protection projects across various sectors.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory codes, standards, and guidelines related to fire protection services design.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
