Job Title: Vision Support Teacher

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with schools and community agencies to support students with low vision or blindness
  • Develop individualized plans to promote inclusive education
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure student accommodations
  • Provide guidance to parents and caregivers on supporting students at home
Requirements
  • Minimum four years full-time tertiary study leading to a recognized school teaching qualification
  • Current professional teaching registration with the relevant authority
  • Registration issued by the relevant agency under the Working with Vulnerable People Act
Desirable Qualifications
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Disability Studies (Vision Impairment); experience in the field is highly desirable
