Inclusion Support Officer Role
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as an Inclusion Support Officer. This role will involve working closely with early childhood centers, preschools, and out-of-school hours care services to develop and maintain inclusive learning environments and curriculums.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with children, families, and communities to create a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes social justice and equality.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and implementation of Strategic Inclusion Plans for Early Childhood Centres, Preschools, and Out-of-School Hours Care Services;
- Work collaboratively with teachers, educators, and other stakeholders to create inclusive learning environments;
- Provide support and guidance to families and communities to promote inclusion and social justice;
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies and procedures that promote inclusion and diversity.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A relevant tertiary qualification associated with Early Childhood and/or Primary School Education, or disability support;
- Sound understanding or practical knowledge of the work undertaken in the Children's Services Sector;
- Experience working with children with additional needs;
- Strong attention to detail, time management, problem-solving, and organisational skills;
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills that ensure effective sharing of information and support to staff and management;
- Proactive approach including being a motivated self-starter and having the ability to work flexibly and effectively within a team and under minimal supervision;
- Reliable, punctual, and mature attitude to work;
- Demonstrated understanding of professional boundaries, privacy, and confidentiality.
