Our organisation seeks a dedicated business partner or experienced advisor who prioritises safety while effectively interacting with stakeholders at all levels to establish consistent safety practices and create a safe, healthy work environment within our business.

  • We are looking for someone who can collaborate with leaders and teams across the business to integrate health, safety, and environmental management systems into operational practices.
  • The successful candidate will be able to partner with operational leadership teams to assist with the integration of safety management systems and WHS minimum standards into business operations.
  • This role requires an individual who can support leaders and managers in building their capability to effectively lead safety initiatives, foster a culture of accountability, and drive improved safety performance.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to work with the group health and safety team to design and deliver relevant and engaging safety communications, such as safety shares and business-specific toolbox scripts that align with the safety communications calendar.
  • The person in this position will ensure observance and implementation of company policies, with a focus on HSE policies, while supporting compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
  • This role requires an understanding and demonstration of behaviour in accordance with all company policies and procedures, including code of conduct, discrimination, bullying, and EEO, and all applicable laws whilst ensuring continual compliance with relevant legislation relevant to the role, including OHS.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • A degree in a related field, such as occupational health and safety, is highly desirable.
  • At least 2 years' experience as a business partner or advisor is required.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven experience in documenting risk assessments, developing and delivering toolbox meetings, and completing other safety documentation is essential.
  • Previous experience in implementing health and safety management systems and procedures across multiple sites is highly valued.
  • Experience in managing incident response, reporting, and incident investigations (ICAM methodology) is also highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders is critical to success.
  • Ability to influence and achieve outcomes in a commercial and pragmatic way is essential.
