Job Description:

As a Strategic Procurement Advisor, you will be a strategic advisor, ensuring procurement practices align with organisational goals. You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to manage contracts and support commercial outcomes.

  • Monitor and analyze contract performance metrics to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Prepare reports and insights for stakeholders regarding contract performance.
  • Assist with contract variations and maintaining accurate supplier records (e.g., contacts, insurances).
  • Oversee procurement processes from initiation to contract close-out, ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Provide support for smaller procurement activities, including raising purchase orders and receipting invoices.
  • Develop procurement strategies that align with the organisation's objectives.
  • Assist in adhering to State Purchase Contracts (SPC) for consistency and compliance.
  • Manage supply chain risks and support resilience through governance and best practices.
  • Organise training sessions to enhance procurement skills within the team.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends to optimize procurement processes.

  • Ability to work with diverse teams and maintain high standards of governance and compliance.
  • Tertiary qualification in procurement, supply chain, contract management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in procurement or contract management.
