Immerse yourself in a world of animation with this role, where you'll work on creative and stylized characters for upcoming projects. You will collaborate with various departments to develop, implement, and maintain character and prop assets for Layout and Animation.

About This Role

As a key member of the team, you will produce complex, production-ready rigs of high quality based on provided briefs, collaborating with the Modeling Department to ensure models meet rigging and performance standards. You will also work with Animators to develop and prototype rigs for diverse creative and technical needs, supporting rigs throughout the animation pipeline and developing supplementary tools and processes.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce complex, production-ready rigs of high quality based on provided briefs.
  • Collaborate with the Modeling Department to ensure models meet rigging and performance standards.
  • Work with Animators to develop and prototype rigs for diverse creative and technical needs.
  • Support rigs throughout the animation pipeline and develop supplementary tools and processes.

What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years' experience in feature animation, VFX, or animated TV, focusing on Rigging.
  • Proficiency with Maya and a node-oriented problem-solving approach.
  • Proficiency with Python and ability to navigate large codebases or willingness to learn quickly.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and effective communication during rig support phases.
  • Ability to work precisely or creatively as per the brief.
  • Willingness to learn and share knowledge in a professional development environment.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of trigonometry and linear algebra.
  • Experience with character-related simulation, cloth simulation, and C++ is a plus.
