Ashurst Reach is the firm's dedicated flexible legal resourcing platform. It provides our clients and Practice Groups within the firm with access to a high-quality talent pool of lawyers and paralegals. We understand that our clients need access to highly qualified lawyers and paralegals, often at short notice and/or for short periods, whether that be to meet internal client demands, backfill leave, provide cover during recruitment, or to assist with specialized projects.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a leading organization in the finance sector. You will have the chance to build your portfolio legal career with a well-known business. The role is a 3-6 month full-time position, with 2 days in the office, located in Sydney.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Experience in Consumer Credit (NCC knowledge) and privacy laws
  • Experience in commercial contracts preferred
  • Experience in financial regulation or technology-related contracts and advisory activities preferred
  • Ability to support in-house legal teams with key strategic projects and/or BAU
  • Ability to hit the ground running and work closely with a fast-paced team
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritize
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience
  • The ability to understand and adapt to the needs of the business
  • A current practicing certificate
  • Applicants must have the right to live and work in Australia
