About the Role

We're currently seeking commercial technology, procurement, and data privacy lawyers with expertise in the following areas:

  • Commercial contracts, including technology/IT agreements, software as a service agreements, artificial intelligence, data/software licenses, software development agreements, and client/vendor cloud computing arrangements
  • Data protection and privacy
  • Cybersecurity law
  • M&A transactions
  • Technology transactions, including IT procurement and outsourcing
  • Fintech, e-commerce, and payments
  • Intellectual property (contentious and/or non-contentious) and patents

Successful applicants will have:

  • A right to work and reside in Australia
  • Qualified to practice in Australia – unrestricted
  • A minimum of four years' post-qualification experience, ideally within a top-tier law firm and a leading financial institution or corporate (directly or as a secondee)
  • A willingness to engage with Peerpoint as a casual employee or via an independent legal practice
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in a common law jurisdiction is preferred
  • A self-starter with a commitment to building a career as a consultant and a drive to achieve at a high level while working as a consultant
  • Adept at leading or working within complex, multi-functional, multi-national project environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface at all levels, building strong relationships internally and externally
  • Client service-focused, with an exemplary client service ethic and commitment
  • Strong commercial/business acumen
  • Resilient, adaptable, autonomous, and highly credible
  • Advanced organisational skills and diplomacy
