Government Relations Specialist

Clemenger Group is seeking an experienced Public Affairs Associate to join their team in Sydney.
The ideal candidate will have around two to three years' experience in a related field, such as government, industry bodies, advocacy organisations or consulting firms.
- Preparing briefing materials on political developments
- Conducting detailed research on specific policy issues
- Monitoring parliament and media providing updates to clients
- Attending client meetings supporting with drafting materials
- Contributing to external publications
We are looking for someone who is politically aware a great communicator curious self-motivated and skilled at research. Prior experience in a similar environment is highly regarded.
Key responsibilities include preparing briefing materials conducting research monitoring parliament and media and attending client meetings. A strong understanding of government policies and procedures is essential.
The successful candidate must have the right to work in Australia.
