Government Relations Specialist

Job Description

Sitting within the Corporate Affairs division, you will work alongside a team to support engagement with government and diplomatic representatives, and develop strategies to enhance the Group's relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting government relations at various levels for our organization in Australia.
  • Developing messaging on relevant policy areas.
  • Working across the organization to develop policy positions on priority areas, including finance, capital attraction, investment, geopolitics, energy, digital infrastructure.
  • Providing government relations support for existing and potential transactions and investments.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant area, combined with experience in politics or a previous government relations or corporate affairs role.
  • Strong understanding of Australian politics at federal, state, and local levels, and international politics.
  • Understanding of the financial services industry is beneficial.
