Strategic Growth Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Strategic Growth Manager.

  • This position will be responsible for the planning and management of strategic projects aimed at increasing economic growth, employment, investment, government infrastructure, and services in Mandurah.
  • The successful candidate will have relevant degree/qualification, current unrestricted C class national driver's license, and demonstrated professional experience of at least 3 years in economic or business development, private investment attraction, and delivery and implementation of strategic initiatives.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Increasing awareness of Mandurah as an attractive investment location.
  • Facilitating the delivery of the city's economic development strategies in Mandurah through designated projects, programs, research and analysis, creative ideas, and government and business liaison to promote inward investment in high priority sectors.
  • Leading and supporting projects and programs to improve skill development, higher education, and employment outcomes in Mandurah.
  • Targeting key sectors identified through the city's Transform Mandurah research and other endorsed plans.
  • Further developing strategies, business cases, and strategic plans to develop those sectors.
  • Attracting government commitment, support, and funding.
  • Liaising with public and private sector partners to ensure coordination of activities.
  • Implementing initiatives developed under the Community Strategic Plan and Departmental business plans.
  • Providing a high level of service, advice, and support to potential investors as part of an integrated team approach.

This is a full-time position that attracts a competitive salary rate.
