Job Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and skilled professional to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. The successful candidate will work within the Youth Development Team to design, develop, and deliver projects that benefit young people.

This role is responsible for driving and facilitating the City's Junior Council, a leadership program that provides opportunities for young people to engage with local government, explore community issues, and advocate for their peers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deliver projects that support youth development and address community needs
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to create innovative and focussed projects that benefit young people
  • Support the Junior Mayor and Junior Deputy Mayor throughout the year as they fulfill their roles
  • Work across the youth and community sector to promote health and wellbeing outcomes for young people
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Education, Community Development, Social Science, or other relevant discipline
  • Significant experience working with the community and developing projects with proven outcomes
  • Experience working with young people and facilitation, networking, and project management
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends and hold a current 'C' class national driver's license
