
Community Development Specialist

Foster a culture of community engagement and empowerment as a Community Development Officer. This role offers the chance to lead initiatives that address immediate and long-term safety needs within the community, promoting inclusive and connected neighborhoods.
The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to facilitate partnerships with key stakeholders, including local residents, businesses, and government bodies. By working collaboratively, you will help drive sustainable change by:
- Establishing partnerships that prioritize community safety.
- Developing and implementing community safety initiatives to reduce crime and increase public confidence.
- Supporting grassroots projects that empower individuals and groups to address local safety concerns and build resilience.
As a key player in the team, you will have the opportunity to develop and maintain sustainable relationships with stakeholders, enhance community capacity, and promote social cohesion. To succeed, you will require a tertiary qualification in Community Development or a related field, significant experience in a contemporary community development role, and relevant certifications such as National Police Clearance and Senior First Aid Certificate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead community safety initiatives and develop strategic partnerships.

Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Community Development, Criminology, Social Science, or a related field.
