About the Position

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of ITS Operations Engineer in various locations in NSW.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide critical support to our Traffic Control and Operations Centres, ensuring seamless operations at all times.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot applications, client operation systems, desktop equipment, server equipment, and networked systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Closely monitor and conduct regular maintenance and system upgrades to ensure our ITS Systems meet their availability and reliability targets.
  • Oversee the upkeep of specialised equipment including PABXs, Trunked radio, data network equipment, CCTV equipment, Traffic Flow Systems, PLCs, and Building Security System.
  • Offer guidance and direction to sub-contractors and other teams to resolve system faults, conduct maintenance, and restoration works.
Requirements:
  • A curious mind with transferable skills and experiences, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a similar role maintaining critical systems in electrical, electronic or communication system support.
  • TAFE or equivalent trade qualifications in Electrical / Electronic / Computer Systems with proven experience in a comparable industry or Engineering Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Computer Systems Engineering.
  • The ability to work effectively in rostered environments, adapting to varying schedules and operational demands.
  • Hands-on experience in field operations, including system support and troubleshooting across diverse infrastructure and environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Self-driven with a commitment to seeing tasks through to completion.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
