Job Title

Clinical Director of Medicine is a leadership position that oversees the delivery of high-quality medical care to Central Queenslanders.


The successful candidate will lead and inspire clinical excellence, foster innovation, and develop staff across multiple streams including education and supervision.


This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to influence service delivery across CQ Health.


  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). This will require Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
  • Candidates with an additional sub-specialty or interest in a sub-specialty are encouraged to apply.
  • Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing Continuing Professional Development program.
