Clinical nurse consultants play a pivotal role in delivering advanced clinical leadership and expertise relevant to reprocessing reusable medical devices.
About the RoleThe primary objective of this position is to ensure compliance with AS5369 Standard across Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service, encompassing all Central Sterilising Departments (CSDs), endoscopy services, oral health services, cardiac investigations, maternity services, and other areas utilising and reprocessing reusable medical devices.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical guidance and leadership in the field of reprocessing reusable medical devices
- Maintain adherence to AS5369 Standard throughout Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service
- Ensure effective operation of Central Sterilising Departments (CSDs)
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for reprocessing reusable medical devices
- Active nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Certificate III in Sterilisation
- Gastroenterological Nurses College of Australasia (GENCA) endoscopy reprocessing training
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment
- Substantial experience working in an Infection Prevention and Control senior nursing capacity
- Relevant postgraduate qualification in Infection Prevention and Control
- Credentialed status with the Australasian College for Infection Prevention and Control
Total remuneration value of up to $164,212 per annum
- An hourly rate between $66.85 - $72.58 p.h.
