Job Title: Senior Legal Expert

 

We are seeking an experienced legal professional to lead our team as a Senior Legal Expert. The successful applicant will be part of the Administrative and Equal Opportunity Division and Occupational Division, responsible for making strategic decisions in relation to various matters.

 

The ideal candidate will have at least seven years' standing as an Australian lawyer, with high-level legal skills and the ability to work collaboratively. They should also have demonstrated leadership skills and be able to effectively manage teams.

 

The Senior Legal Expert will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert legal advice and guidance to the Tribunal
  • Making decisions in relation to various matters, including appeals and complaints
  • Liaising with stakeholders, including lawyers, litigants and other government agencies
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Tribunal

 

The successful applicant will be required to undergo probity checks and must be available to work full-time. Applications addressing the selection criteria, accompanied by a detailed curriculum vitae and the names of at least two referees, must be submitted online.
