We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Consultant to join our Individual Insurance Distribution function at MLC Limited. As a Business Development Consultant, you will play a critical role in growing our market share and driving business growth in line with our strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively engage with advisers to build strong relationships and identify opportunities to advocate our insurance proposition.
- Use sales data to inform planning and successfully identify opportunities to win business.
- Execute Take to Market initiatives, onboard, enable, and influence advisers to achieve education aims and sales targets.
- Work with the Head of Distribution and Strategic Account Managers on licensee engagement and execution of account plans.
- Plan and adhere to an 'Ideal week' in executing adviser interactions, aligning to the Individual Life Insurance strategy.
- Fact find completion for all advisers and build appropriate engagement plans based on adviser needs.
- Drive collaboration and partnering with internal stakeholders across MLC Limited to ensure consistency of adviser experience.
- Build the profile of MLC Limited within your network of relationships.
- Adhere to CRM data input and quality management standards.
- Proactively manage ongoing professional development and enterprise mandatory training.
We are looking for a candidate with experience in the financial services industry, preferably in Life Insurance, and a strong understanding of the advice process. You will have a natural ability to build rapport and provide exceptional service to clients.
You will also have:
- Minimum RG 146 compliance.
- This is an LOA holding role and as such must meet the qualification requirements to hold an LOA.
- Higher education standards beyond a DFP, such as an ADF, bachelor's degree in financial planning, or other equivalent education is highly desirable.
