About this role

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) Division is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Project Coordinator to support the strategic objectives and organisational priorities of the respective section. The role will provide administrative support, collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders, and ensure rigorous governance reporting and record keeping.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake work that is moderately complex to complex and/or sensitive in nature, under limited direction, utilising expertise and knowledge within the area of operational project and programme delivery.
  • Manage high volumes of work and competing priorities, with the ability to deliver work high-quality work to agreed standards and timeframes.
  • Develop written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and levels of seniority.
  • Engage stakeholders, build and maintain strategic relationships, and use professional judgement to communicate decisions and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive matters.
  • Work autonomously and as part of a team to achieve positive results and support the AEC's strategic direction.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using IT tools to maintain project/program records and information.
  • Hold tertiary qualifications and/or an industry-recognised certification in Management, Business Administration, Project Management or a similar field.
  • Provide administrative support for a program/project in the Federal government context.
  • Experience working in Agile environments, such as SCRUM or the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
