We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to join our team at The Tasman, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Hobart. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and maintain the hotel's physical plant, including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical systems.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards are met.
- Develop and implement energy conservation and economical facility operations.
- Administer service contracts and oversee the maintenance of grounds, guestrooms, public spaces, restaurants, property vehicles, and recreational facilities.
- Develop a long-term plan for preventative maintenance and asset protection.
- Collaborate with external customers, such as city building/zoning department, fire prevention bureau, and vendors.
- High school diploma or GED; 4 years of experience in engineering and maintenance or related field; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.
- Or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major; 2 years of experience in engineering and maintenance or related field; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.
