About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of First and Third Engineer on our RSV Nuyina vessel. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, this position is responsible for carrying out repairs and maintenance work, as well as performing duties in the engine room and around the vessel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out repairs and maintenance work on the vessel's engines and systems
  • Perform duties in the engine room and around the vessel, including assisting with training cadets if required
  • Meet all standards of competence and fulfill the functions in STCW A-III/1 relating to the engineering watch or designated duty engineer in a periodically unmanned engine room

Requirements:

  • Hold an AMSA-issued Certificate of Competency as Engineer Watchkeeper (Motor) with additional qualifications, including Security Awareness Training, Current Passport, AMSA Certificate of Medical Fitness, Valid Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC), Confined Space Entry & Rescue, and Working Safely at Heights
  • Have appropriate seagoing experience in the previous three years
  • Meet the highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behavior
