Senior Software Architect

About the Role:

We're seeking an experienced Senior Software Architect to drive the development of cutting-edge AI-powered products and platforms. This senior role plays a pivotal part in our mission to make digital therapeutics accessible, guiding technical strategy, architecture, and innovation, especially through integrating advanced AI and large language models.

This high-impact position is suited for someone who owns end-to-end delivery, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited by the opportunity to apply leading technologies to real human needs.

Our team follows a hybrid model working out of our office, so we'd love to see applications from those based in or willing to relocate to Melbourne.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and maintain the technical vision and architecture roadmap for our products, aligning with broader company strategies.
  • Lead key architectural decisions, balancing speed, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Partner with Product and Design leads to ensure AI/LLM-driven features deliver measurable business and user impact.
  • Collaborate across engineering, content, marketing, clinical, and data teams to create high-quality, user-focused AI-driven experiences.
  • Develop and maintain robust full-stack solutions integrating sophisticated AI functionalities.
  • Research and implement innovative AI and LLM technologies to enhance personalisation, interactivity, and therapeutic value.
  • Provide mentorship, technical leadership, and foster a culture of continuous improvement, particularly in AI best practices.
  • Ensure high standards in security, privacy, compliance, and ethical AI use, especially relevant to sensitive healthcare data.

Requirements:
  • Proven technical leadership with deep expertise in software development, AI/LLM integration, and architecture design.
  • Experience integrating AI and/or LLMs into applications is highly desirable.
  • Strong strategic vision with an ability to clearly communicate technical ideas to diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in fostering collaborative, innovative engineering cultures and mentoring teams.
  • Commitment to high-quality coding standards, robust testing practices, and continuous improvement.
  • Extensive experience balancing technical innovation with practical implementation to deliver impactful products.
