Job Opportunity
The Royal Agricultural Society of England is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead both the charity and its sister organization, Innovation for Agriculture. The successful candidate will develop strategies in conjunction with the Trustees and implement them effectively.
This role requires a science educational background to degree standard and experience of managing a commercial enterprise or similar organization. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of agriculture, food production, land husbandry, and the ability to develop a sustainable programme of income generation.
Key Responsibilities
- To develop and implement strategies for both organizations in conjunction with the Trustees.
- To manage and oversee the property portfolio at Stoneleigh and complex multi-party research contracts.
- To develop and expand the charities' reputation and influence in the wider Agri-food sector.
Requirements
- A science educational background to degree standard.
- Experience of managing a commercial enterprise or similar organization.
- Understanding of agriculture, food production, land husbandry.
