Job Description

As a key member of our commercial team, the Senior Legal Counsel will play a pivotal role in driving business growth through expert legal guidance.

  • Lead and support major transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships, ensuring seamless execution and compliance with regulatory requirements;
  • Provide authoritative advice on corporate governance, compliance, and risk management, helping to mitigate potential liabilities and maximize opportunities;
  • Oversee and coordinate external legal counsel where required, fostering effective relationships and delivering cost-efficient solutions;
  • Monitor and interpret legislative and regulatory changes affecting our business, staying ahead of emerging trends and advising on strategies for success;
  • Manage dispute resolution and litigation matters with skill and diplomacy, minimizing risk and promoting resolution;
  • Deliver high-quality training and build awareness across the business on key legal and compliance issues, enhancing knowledge and expertise throughout the organization.

Requirements:

To succeed in this challenging and rewarding role, you will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years' PQE in a commercial law context, with strong training in either construction, property, or corporate law;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex issues into actionable recommendations;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with various stakeholders at all levels;
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, managing competing priorities and deadlines with ease;
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and evolve in a fast-paced environment.
