Commercial Lawyer for Government Agencies

About the role:
Our high-performing Public Law team is seeking experienced Lawyers/Associates to provide expert commercial advice, governance guidance, contract management and probity advice to government agencies.
You will work collaboratively with other lawyers and clients, supporting Partners to build a strong team environment. You will have the opportunity to work on complex, sensitive, interesting and nation-building projects.
About you:
Ideally, you will have experience advising clients, solving problems and working collaboratively as part of a team. You should bring a sense of openness to learning new skills, common sense, emotional intelligence and pragmatism to your practice of the law.
You will also have:
- 2-5+ years' experience as a lawyer working with government clients
- Contracting, procurement and/or grant experience
- An understanding of probity, integrity in the public sector and governance principles
- General legal experience
- Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
- Experience working collaboratively in a team environment
- A keenness to learn
