About the Spray Painter Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Spray Painter to deliver high-quality workmanship and ensure vehicles are returned to their pre-accident condition.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Colour match and prepare vehicle after it has been repaired and is scheduled for painting
  • Maintain a comprehensive colour library
  • Carry out thorough preparation, priming and painting of vehicle as per Job Sheet requirements following paint supplier's process
  • Buff and denib vehicle to achieve a flawless finish
  • Carefully handle all vehicles with due attention
  • Record any extra paint work required that is not quoted for
  • Notify the production manager of any old damage or poor previous repairs
  • Clean work bay and workshop areas regularly
  • Coach apprentices in best practice techniques when required
About You:
  • You should be a trade qualified Spray Painter
  • Have minimum 3 years experience working as a trade qualified Spray Painter
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to working safely and taking personal responsibility for your actions
  • Communicate effectively and clearly with colleagues
  • Show attention to detail and a focus on quality outcomes
  • Be able to work collaboratively with others and meet strict deadlines
  • Be reliable, punctual and hardworking
  • Bring your own tools to perform the role
