Automotive Refinisher

As an experienced Automotive Refinisher, you will be responsible for returning vehicles to their pre-accident condition through high-quality workmanship. This is a full-time position.

  • Verify the accuracy and quality of received parts
  • Disassemble vehicle as per Job Sheet
  • Label and store parts
  • Document broken parts and extra repairs and submit to Estimator as required
  • Inspect new parts for damage and communicate defects to Parts Manager/Production Manager
  • Mix and match vehicle colors after preparation and prior to painting
  • Develop and maintain color libraries
  • Prepare and paint vehicle according to Job Sheet requirements following paint supplier's process
  • Buff and denib vehicle
  • Repair vehicle as per the Repair Method, OEM standards and in accordance with Estimate and Job Sheet
  • Reassemble vehicle
  • Handle all vehicles with due care and attention
  • Clean workbay and workshop areas
  • Provide coaching to apprentices when required
  • Handle company tools and equipment with due care and attention ensuring they remain safe, clean and in a workable condition
  • Adhere to OH&S policy including PPE

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong commitment to working safely
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Able to work effectively and collaboratively with the team
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Be reliable, punctual & hardworking
  • Own tools to fulfill the role
