The International Government business unit is seeking a skilled Solutions Specialist to join our Engineering Team.

Job Summary

This role involves designing, installing, commissioning, training and providing post-sales support for satellite connected networking solutions to Viasat clients.

The ideal candidate will have experience in IP networking and IT, with a strong understanding of Microsoft and Linux operating systems.

Main Responsibilities
  • Configuring and maintaining IP networking hardware including routers, firewalls and managed switches.
  • Supporting and maintaining VIG Solutions airtime systems and internal network infrastructure.
  • Diagnosing and resolving issues experienced by end users with end-to-end solutions.
Requirements
  • Formal trade qualification in Australian Electrotechnology or equivalent tertiary industry qualification, with at least 4 years industry experience.
  • Experience in satellite communications technologies and knowledge of Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
  • Ability to develop and apply configurations to IP networking hardware.

Required Skills: Trade qualified, IP networking, IT, Microsoft, Linux, Satellite communications.

Desired Qualifications: Tertiary industry qualification, 4+ years industry experience, Strong problem-solving skills.
