Strategic Government Liaison Opportunity

The ideal candidate will lead the enhancement of relationships with governments and stakeholders. This involves driving positive outcomes for the community, members, customers, and the business.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive government relations and public affairs strategies to drive positive impact.
  • Promote initiatives and policies by building strong working relationships with key contacts, including Ministerial and Shadow representatives, Members of Parliament, government departments, agencies, industry leaders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor the political and regulatory environment to identify key areas of public policy for opportunities and impacts on operations.
  • Contribute to the promotion, education, communication, influence, and publication of advocacy messages and campaigns across all levels of government.
  • Represent the organization at external events, including government hearings and inquiries.
  • Act as a spokesperson, effectively communicating positions and initiatives to external audiences, including the media.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to engagement with key contacts.
  • Provide government relations advice to senior management and the Executive Leadership Team to achieve key outcomes.
  • Prepare reports and updates for the Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team on government relations strategy, activities, measures of success, and outcomes.

Applicants should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in public affairs, government relations, or a related field. A proven track record in developing and executing successful government relations and public affairs strategies is essential.
