Job Overview

The Payroll Analyst role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of bi-weekly, multi-state payroll processing for a large workforce.

  • Process and audit biweekly payroll for employees across the U.S. and Puerto Rico using Workday.
  • Calculate and process final pay for terminated employees while adhering to state-specific regulations.
  • Maintain and update employee compensation plans, including adjustments for originating and non-originating employees.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to resolve payroll tax discrepancies.
  • Perform payroll tax adjustments as necessary.
  • Analyze payroll processes, identify areas for improvement, and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Support internal and external audits by gathering relevant payroll documentation.
  • Verify the accuracy of payroll system outputs, including payroll registers and commission reports.
  • Provide timely responses to employee payroll inquiries.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred.
  • 2+ years of payroll processing experience in a high-volume environment.
  • Experience with Workday Payroll implementation and configuration is beneficial.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, specifically pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
