Government Relations Expert

We are seeking a skilled Government Relations Expert to join our team. In this critical role, you will play a key part in shaping and executing our government relations strategy.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional who can leverage their expertise to drive results and achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to public policy advocacy plans in support of our country strategy.
  • Support the analysis of relevant policy and regulatory frameworks both federally and in all Australian states (less WA), with a focus on energy, resources, climate change, environment, and Northern Australia development.
  • Lead the development and implementation of our government relations strategy, including identifying, developing, and managing senior political stakeholders, driving engagement plans, proactively framing action plans, coordinating public submissions, and collaborating with other team members in support of business objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in Government Affairs – either in-house, a consultancy or political office.
  • Excellent networking capability, inter-personnel, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proven ability to work on and manage multiple simultaneous projects and achieve successful outcomes.
  • Experience of coordinating advocacy activities across internal and external boundaries.
  • Proven competencies in policy development and advocacy.
