Key roles of the Government Affairs Manager include:

  • Excellent networking capability, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Coordinating advocacy activities across internal and external boundaries.

The Government Affairs Manager will play a crucial role in creating and driving a comprehensive government relations strategy to support the company's Australian ambitions. The primary goal is to elevate our influence across government, while building coalitions aligned to bp's position.

Purpose of the Role

This role involves interacting with various stakeholders, including trade associations and think tanks, to stay informed about relevant policy and regulatory developments. The manager will use this knowledge to identify opportunities to best position bp and act as an emissary of senior leadership.
