Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Claims Support Specialist to join our team in Brisbane CBD. As a key member of our Personal Injury Claims team, you will provide exceptional support to our customers and ensure seamless execution of business processes.

Job Description:

This is a full-time 12-month contract opportunity with Suncorp Group, offering a competitive salary package including a base salary of approximately $80,000 per annum, plus superannuation and other benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lodge Personal Injury claims accurately and efficiently
  • Investigate, gather and follow-up additional information to complete the lodgement for Claims
  • Validate claim details for lodgement and refer to business partners
  • Manage complex escalations from business partners
  • Manage Insurance phone queues effectively
Business Support Functions:
  • Prepare, proof and despatch outbound correspondence in support of claim lodgement and claim management
  • Manage the request, receipt and dispatch of claim information such as medical records
  • Schedule independent medical examinations and other medical appointments and prepare and dispatch required documentation
  • Undertake review and audit tasks as directed
  • Perform general business support tasks as directed by leader

Requirements:
  • Attention to detail – accurately checking and processing tasks and showing concern for all aspects of the role

  • Communication Skills – ability to convey and explain information, coherently and confidently both oral and written
  • Computer Skills - Proficient keyboard skills and knowledge in Microsoft Office applications

  • Decisiveness – ability to make effective decisions in a timely manner
  • Planning and organisation skills – establishing a process to complete tasks (either personal or for others) and allocating appropriate resources in achievement of same
  • Problem solving – ability to quickly grasp information and/or seek out information, break down problems and situations into simple lists of components, options or alternatives
