Delivering Community-Based Mental Health Services

Role Overview:\\\
\\\
As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide targeted psychological strategies tailored to meet the individual needs of individuals accessing our service within a community-based mental health care setting. You will also work collaboratively with relevant service systems to respond appropriately to their mental health and developmental needs.

- Conduct comprehensive assessments, brief and ongoing interventions, risk management, and care planning\\\
- Work cooperatively across health service networks to plan and coordinate personalized psychosocial interventions to meet the needs of individuals with mental health issues based on a case formulation approach\\\
- Collaborate effectively through active participation within the multidisciplinary mental health team, the profession-specific network, and with consumers, families/carers, and extended agencies\\\

Requirements:\\\
\\\
We are seeking an individual with one of the following registrations: General AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health Occupational Therapist, or Mental Health Nurse; or AASW registration as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in Brief Intervention Models of Care, commitment to professional development, and willingness to participate in a continuous learning environment.

- Must possess well-developed judgment and evaluation skills demonstrating a working understanding of assessment and care planning\\\
- Sound understanding of the public, non-government, and private mental health systems and programs, as well as associated non-mental health programs in a community setting\\\
- Ideal experience in providing alcohol and other drugs (AOD) counselling and support\\\
- Proven ability to work creatively, collaboratively, and effectively as a member of a team\\\
- Excellent verbal communication and writing skills\\\
- Eligibility to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance\\\
- Compliance with child safety and vulnerability safeguarding requirements\\\
