
Community Mental Health Specialist

As a mental health clinician, you will play a crucial role in a multidisciplinary team delivering tailored psychological strategies to meet the individual needs of people accessing community-based mental health services.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide evidence-based interventions to support individuals with mental health issues.
- Collaborate with relevant service systems to respond appropriately to mental health and developmental needs.
- Work collaboratively across healthcare networks to develop and implement individualized care plans in consultation with the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide comprehensive assessment, brief and ongoing interventions, risk management, and case planning.
- Engage effectively with consumers, families/carers, and extended agencies through active participation within the multidisciplinary mental health team.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You should also have sound knowledge of mental health principles, practices, and legislation.
