Job Title

A dedicated Specialist in Geriatric Medicine is sought to deliver high-quality patient care and contribute to the multidisciplinary team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patient admissions, providing consultative services, and working effectively with the team to ensure patients receive timely and efficient care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing leave cover and ensuring smooth patient transitions.
  • Collaborating with medical, allied health, and nursing staff to deliver exceptional care.
  • Maintaining clear communication with patients, families, and community providers.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely documentation in patient records.
  • Participating in case discussions, discharge planning, and quality improvement activities.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Registration as a Medical Practitioner in Australia with AHPRA.
  • Current Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent.
  • Completed training and experience in Geriatric Medicine.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and involvement in research or clinical audit.
