Job Title: Service Operations Director

The role of the Service Operations Director is pivotal in overseeing the non-clinical aspects of our Residence, encompassing Catering, Cleaning, Laundry, and Maintenance services. This position significantly contributes to the overall quality of life and well-being of our residents while supporting the smooth operation of our facility.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Catering and Dining Services: As the Service Operations Director, you will be responsible for managing the Catering department by overseeing the provision of meals and dietary services, ensuring that residents receive nutritious and balanced meals according to their dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Environmental Management: You will oversee a team of Cleaners and Laundry Attendants, ensuring cleaning and laundry services are hygienic, clean, and exceeding resident expectations.
  • Maintenance Management: The Service Operations Director will be accountable for overseeing the Maintenance department, prioritizing requests, and ensuring repairs meet and exceed resident expectations.
  • Service Providers Management: You will manage external contractors, ensuring legislative and contractual requirements are met.
  • Extra Services Management: As the Service Operations Director, you will ensure extra services align with Arcare's offerings, resident, and family expectations, as well as contractual obligations.
  • Budget and Resource Management: You will develop and manage budgets for your remit, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource allocation.
  • Staff Management: As the leader of non-clinical staff, you will supervise, train, evaluate, and develop staff members.

Key qualifications include an in-depth understanding of the aged care industry, including regulations, compliance requirements, best practices, and emerging trends. Experience in managing staff in Aged Care or similar industries is also essential.
